Brave Practice Playback Theatre Collective

We hosted an outdoor Playback Theatre performance with GRuB celebrating springtime around the theme Growing Together! An all-ages event for our communities to connect and share stories.

Brave Practice activated stories from our Community Roots Oral History project in February 2024 through a Playback Theatre performance: "Places Where I Belong." We created conversation about community spaces through audience story-telling played back by our troupe of theatre artists.

We gathered in late January 2024 to practice courage on and off stage by sharing stories of bravery with a group of young adults. This workshop is part of our improv theatre series focused on community-building, leadership, and learning how to use theatre for social change.

We gathered in early October for our 2023 season kickoff workshop, Stories of Bravery, an all-ages improv theatre workshop focused on community-building, leadership, and learning how to use theatre for social change.

We had so much fun with these middle school students during our spring 2023 improv theatre workshop series with TOGETHER!'s Clubhouse program.

ASHHO and Window Seat Media co-produced an interactive theatre workshop series for youth in January - May 2023 where young people rehearse and perform with Brave Practice Playback Theatre Collective.

We built a youth-centered curriculum in partnership with TOGETHER!'s Community Schools program and hosted a workshop series for youth at a local middle school.

We partnered with Empowerment 4 Girls in spring 2022 for a performance about resilience, affirming the self-worth of all women and girls. We worked with members of the Heartsparkle Players for this performance.

We partnered with GRuB's youth garden program for an outdoor performance in spring 2022.

Brave Practice helped our community share stories and listen deeply at our January 2021 fundraising event, which directly followed the devastating fire that destroyed our erstwhile office space.
