Creativity Salons

March Creativity Salon with Aherlow and Wild

Our featured narrators, Aherlow and Wild, frequent creative collaborators and community organizers, shared about their creative journeys and practices.

"It felt like hanging out with a cool group of friends," one of our participants said.

In March we had TWO featured artist-narrators: Natalie "Wild" Coblentz (They/Them), Queer Latinx Multimedia Artist, Activist, Collaborator & Producer of LGBTQIA2S+ Events, and Aherlow Kasjaka (they/them), passionate community organizer and creative who strives to support community connection and healing through their work. We heard from these two beautiful souls - how they have worked together in community and about their own creative practices.

"It felt like hanging out with a cool group of friends," one of our participants said.

Will we see you at our April salon? Bring a project and come discuss the fundamental questions of creative expression:

  • EVIDENCE - What do you know and how do you know it?
  • PERSPECTIVE – Whose viewpoint is being presented or represented?
  • CONNECTIONS – How does this connect to anything else?
  • SUPPOSITION – What if things were different?
  • RELEVANCE – Why is this important?
  • TRANSITION – What’s next?

We'll be at YWCA Friendship Hall, 220 Union Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501, the building next door to the YW stewarded by TLC. The series is free and by donation, because we believe access to arts and humanities programming is a human right.

In place of a monthly event registration, we invite you to SUBSCRIBE to our Friends of Community Storytelling program, committing to a recurring donation for as little as $5 monthly to show your support.
