Voices from the Harbor

Layers of Meaning: Mapping Home on the Harbor

On April 29, we invited community members to take the tour and then join us for a reflection on memories, stories, and insights sparked by the tour.

Using a StoryMap application, we invited Harbor residents to participate in a community mapping project to tell their story of what makes the Harbor home.

What gives you a sense of belonging on the Harbor? What places are significant to you and why? How do they contribute to Harbor identity? Our second event, Layers of Meaning, explored places of special significance to Harbor residents. Using a StoryMap application, we invited Harbor residents to participate in a community mapping project to tell their story of what makes the Harbor home. We then created a self-guided tour from the entires, which we organized the tour by theme – Transitions, Mentors, Friends, and Neighbors, and Belonging. On April 29, we invited community members to take the tour and then join us for a reflection on memories, stories, and insights sparked by the tour.
