Pride cohort's community share out

TUESDAY

June 3rd

5:30 - 8pm

Olympia Timberland Library

313 8th Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501

About the project

Window Seat is partnering with Capital City Pride to uplift local LGBTQIAA2S+ voices in the South Sound through the Pride Storytelling Project - a part of our Community Roots oral history initiative.

We’re working with the Olympia Library to archive oral histories gathered through the initiative for future researchers to access across the Timberland Regional Library System through the Local and Pacific Northwest History collections.

How you can participate

  • Have an informal unrecorded conversation with one of our cohort members.
  • Connect us with people whose stories are important to document and may be interested in participating.
  • In 2025, join us in person at these events: Spring Arts Walk, Capital City Pride festival, Window Seat’s Annual Gathering, and at the cohort’s community share out on Tuesday, June 3rd.
  • Applications to join the cohort of community oral historians will open this summer. Maybe this is you?

Come see what our cohort has been up to and hear about where the project is going in year 2.

Connect in community and take the chance to record your own brief Pride Story.

A free non-ticketed event. Donations always welcome and appreciated.
