Community oral history projects:

Pride Storytelling Project

DOCUMENTATION IN PROGRESS 2024-2025. Our LGBTQ+ cohort of narrative changemakers is embarking on a documentation efforts to preserve local Queer history. Join us at events, artist talks, exhibits, workshops, and performances. Apply this summer to join our cohort for year 2 of this project.

Third Spaces

A team of community researchers gathered oral histories in 2023-24 about three local organizing efforts grounded in specific spaces that are important to our collective history in the South Sound.

Stories of Food, Food as Story

A project-based workshop series in 2023 using oral history practices to explore participants histories and cultural heritage through food traditions and local foodways.

The Third Thirty

A community-based oral history project 2018-21 honoring and amplifying the voices of South Sound elders.
