TOGETHER! Club House program + Brave Practice
We will host Playback Theatre workshops through TOGETHER!'s Club House program at a local middle school this spring on a bi-weekly basis April-June 2023. This program is for students interested in storytelling as a way to express themselves and learn about their peers.
Students will become familiar with techniques in personal storytelling and Playback Theatre, practicing empathy, creative expression, artistic collaboration, and exploring their own gifts and potential. Playback is an original form of interactive and improvisational theatre where folx share true stories from their lives and others enact them on the spot using music, dialogue, metaphor, and movement. This opportunity helps build social-emotional learning skills in areas such as self-awareness, social awareness, and social engagement. Youth should get ready to share true stories, listen deeply to others, lean into community wisdom, and take brave risks.

Brave Practice
Brave Practice Playback Theatre Collective is a community engagement program and ongoing community narratives project of Window Seat Media. Our collective uses Playback Theatre and other storytelling methods to foster connection and belonging in community.
